So, This is all about me… in short I’m fascinated by technology, business and community – Trying to find a way for them to work together harmoniously. I’ve worked for the last 6 years as a Digital Recruiter, founded Fresh Resources in 2009, and more recently Co-Founder of techMAP, a tech/marketing community for professionals in the space. I’m a self confessed Geek that walks the line between Desktop PC and MacBook Pro. I’m also a super proud daddy to two fantastic boys ‘Oscar and Louis (age 1 & 3).

Barry is a respected twenty ‘something with an entrepreneurial spirit, He’s a proven leader that other leaders want to follow. His vision, ethics and street smarts have enabled him to see early successes in his recruitment business. His democratic leadership style, obsession with technology and desire to enable the evolution of communications makes Barry ideal for leading our global techMAP community.

I graduated with a Design Degree from Reading School of Art and Design, and embarked on a journey that led me through to Management of a retail superstore for Sony Centre before heading into recruitment in 2005.

I guess I was always a salesman at heart but have a real passion for technology that has been developing into an almost unhealthy addiction for the latest online tech, web 2.0/3.0, Social Media and funky design.

My time in recruitment has provided me with an appetite for success, but an appetite that is based on values, relationships and striving to provide a good honest service.

I set up Fresh Resources so that I could continue to provide a specialist service to the Online / Digital recruitment market in these changing times, so that I can offer the flexibility the market requires us to, but also chase emerging markets such as Social Media. I’m very excited about working as an independent recruiter in a niche market and the challenges of growing a small business as the economy picks up in this coming year or two and of course about growing a larger techMAP community.

I’m a self confessed bad writer… There you go I said it. This space is very much about self development for me, so I do cast opinion on a thing or two, share my knowledge about things I do and update on projects that I’m working on. So don’t expect any amazing words of wisdom, just my thoughts and my work in words…

So selling or bullshit here, but I do post up news on my events and the odd conference that either techMAP or people on the network are running.
